We set up our first Integenerational classes in collaboration with one of our Nursery Settings in 2018 and we loved every minute.​

Due to lockdown restrictions we had to stop these wonderful opportunities to share Intergenerational music-making, but were invited in by our friends at Mercia Grange Care Home in 2022. 

So much research shows the many benefits of Intergenerational experiences for both young children and with residents in care homes. The benefits of music-making are also well documented as are the effects of active music participation in dementia patients on cognitive function and well-being. 

Mixing the music and intergenerational experiences has a 'double whammy' effect and it's clear to see the joy it brings in our weekly sessions.
